The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental (USTP Oroquieta) held its 35th Baccalaureate Services for the graduating Class of 2026 on June 20, 2026, offering graduates a meaningful opportunity to reflect and seek God’s guidance before their commencement exercises.

The University conducted separate Catholic and non-Catholic services to accommodate the diverse faith traditions of the graduating class. The Catholic Baccalaureate Mass was celebrated at the Holy Rosary Parish in Oroquieta City. At the same time, the non-Catholic Convocational Service was held at the Oroquieta City Assembly of God International (OCAGI) Church.

The Catholic Mass was presided over by Msgr. Maximo A. Naron Jr., JCD, who encouraged the graduates to use the knowledge, skills, and values they gained to serve society with integrity, compassion, and excellence. The non-Catholic Convocational Service, led by Pastor Alfonso S. Sibuala, featured praise and worship, prayer, and an inspirational message on faith, resilience, and ethical leadership.

Graduates, together with their families, faculty members, and friends, also received a pastoral blessing and commissioning prayer.

The 35th Baccalaureate Services marked an important part of USTP Oroquieta’s commitment to the holistic formation of its students, marching forward with faith, gratitude, and a commitment to serve with integrity and excellence.
