The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental (USTP Oroquieta) proudly recognized its outstanding students during the Tinawan Accolades 2026 held on June 5, 2026, at the USTP Oroquieta Covered Court. The event celebrated the academic excellence, leadership, and achievements of hardworking students for the Second Semester of Academic Year 2025–2026.

The ceremony featured an inspiring message from the guest speaker, JD Ace B. Palanas, MAEd, Master Teacher I of the Department of Education Division of Oroquieta City. In his address, he encouraged students to view challenges as opportunities for growth and reminded them that recognition is not only a reward for excellence but also a responsibility to continue striving for greater achievements. His words resonated with the audience, motivating learners to pursue their goals with determination, resilience, and integrity.

One of the highlights of the program was the awarding of Certificates of Recognition to students who excelled in academic, special, and non-academic awards. Awardees came from various programs, including the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED) majors in Home Economics, Industrial Arts, and Information and Communication Technology, the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), and the Bachelor of Food Processing Technology (BFPT). Program coordinators and chairpersons led the recognition of the awardees.

Special awards were also presented to students who demonstrated exemplary contributions in specific fields, while non-academic awards recognized achievements in leadership, community service, and extracurricular involvement.
