USTP Panaon receives 2 FRP boats with accessories from BFAR 10

Last May 26, 2022, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Regional Office 10 officially turned over two (2) units of their 23-footer Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Boat with 16 horsepower Marine Engines with accessories to the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) Panaon in Misamis Occidental. The ceremony took place at the campus’ Training Center.

Ms. Virginia P. Valde, Aquaculturist II of the BFAR 10 Provincial Fishery Office in Misamis Occidental, represented Regional Director Teodoro A. Bacolod, Jr. during the turn-over ceremony.

Also in attendance were Leopoldo Abalorio, former Regional Fisherfolk Director from Camiguin Province, and Dominador Comeda, Jr., current Regional Fisherfolk Director from Lanao del Norte.

 

Dr. Leny Q. Anasco, Acting Campus Director of the USTP Panaon, gladly received PHP 37,576.85 worth of equipment. Dr. Anasco further emphasized the importance of the equipment in conducting classes, research, and extension activities of the university.
