USTP Panaon-SAS, BFP conduct Fire Prevention Symposium

The Office of Student Affairs and Services, in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection – Panaon, successfully conducted a Fire Prevention Symposium for the 2nd year students of the University of Science and Technology in Southern Philippines in Panaon, Misamis Occidental (USTP Panaon) on March 22, 2024. The event aimed to raise awareness and educate students about fire safety and prevention measures.

The symposium featured insightful presentations and practical demonstrations on fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and the proper use of fire extinguishers. Participants were also briefed on the common causes of fires and the importance of early detection and swift action in fire emergencies. It emphasized the significance of proactive measures in fire prevention and encouraged everyone to be vigilant and responsible in maintaining a fire-safe environment.

The activity concluded with an open forum where participants could ask questions and clarify their concerns regarding fire safety. Attendees expressed their gratitude for the informative and eye-opening event, acknowledging its importance in equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to respond effectively in fire-related emergencies.
