USTP Panaon welcomes students, celebrates Charter Day through HARAYA 2026

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Panaon, Misamis Occidental (USTP Panaon) held HARAYA 2026: Week of Welcome and Charter Day from August 3 to 6, 2026, bringing together students, faculty members, and student organizations for four days of academic, developmental, recreational, and community-building activities. Carrying the theme “Dreams United, Futures Created,” the celebration opened with a flag-raising ceremony, opening salvo, and welcome address from Dr. Leny Q. Añasco, Acting Campus Director of USTP Panaon. The opening activities also included a Campus Fair, where student organizations presented their programs and activities to the student community.
Throughout the four-day celebration, students participated in orientations, interactive games, assemblies, organization fairs, and other activities designed to help them become familiar with campus life, build connections, and participate in the USTP Panaon community.
Academic and developmental activities were also conducted, including a research colloquium for upper-year students. The final day featured organization showcases, a fashion show, and sports activities, including volleyball, badminton, and pickleball.
HARAYA 2026 welcomed students to another academic year while providing opportunities for academic engagement, student participation, recreation, and interaction among members of the Campus community. The celebration also provided a venue for student organizations to showcase their initiatives and encourage students to take an active role in campus life.
The four-day celebration concluded on August 6, marking USTP Panaon’s Week of Welcome and Charter Day under a shared theme of bringing together the aspirations of its students and the University community toward the future.
