USTP signs MOA with PNP Region X

Starting a new working relationship with the newly appointed Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner Jo Mark M. Libre, DPA, the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) under the supervision of Commissioner Libre gathered to share sentiments together with esteemed guests who are recognized as key players for development in Region X.

The Consultation Meeting was graced by the presence of Congressman Rufus B. Rodriguez, Deputy Speaker and 2nd District Representative of Cagayan de Oro City; Hon. Mylah Faye Aurora B. Cariño, Regional Director of NEDA X; Hon. Freddie T. Bernal, Regional Director of CHED X; Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II, System President of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP); and Dr. Herbert Glenn P. Reyes, President of the Northwestern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology (NMSCST), along with five SUC Presidents.

Commissioner Libre, along with the aforementioned, acknowledged and answered the questions raised by SUC presidents, making it clear and seamless in addressing the concerns brought about during the discussion.

 “We, in the Commission on Higher Education, will always be in support to all SUCs for the attainment of quality education,” CHED Commissioner Libre assured.

The gathering resulted in productive discussion. It was an opportunity to consult and ask Commissioner Libre and the officials from Region X for guidance and support towards the fulfillment of the shared vision in the continuity of providing quality education not only for the respective academic institutions but to the region as well.
