USTP Alubijid attends US Department of State-sponsored cybersecurity workshop

Three faculty members of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental attended the United States Department of State-sponsored “Train-the-Trainer Cybersecurity Workshop” last June 19–23, 2023.

Dr. Lory Liza D. Bulay-og, Acting Campus Director of the USTP Alubijid; Engr. Jasper Jay A. Jementiza, Computer Engineering Department Chair; and Engr. Wilfred Clark J. Sevilla, Computer Engineering faculty joined the week-long virtual activity.

The workshop covered cybersecurity, common cyber threats, securing online accounts, protecting against phishing attacks, safeguarding personal information, and more. Participants also learned how to operate CYBER ranges using world-class technology to gain and apply critical, hands-on competencies in life-like environments.
