The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Balubal, Cagayan de Oro (USTP Balubal), in partnership with the Falculan Twins Review Center (FTRC), conducted the BTLED Intensive Pre-Licensure Review Course on July 10, 16, and 17, 2026, to prepare graduates for the September 2026 Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT).

The three-day review program brought together graduates from three batches of the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED) program and followed the latest Table of Specifications (TOS) issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Participants attended review lectures, answered practice tests, discussed sample questions, and learned test-taking techniques covering the major components of the licensure examination.

The July 10 session focused on the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) specialization and was facilitated by Mr. Nino James Aceron of FTRC. Topics included computer systems, networking, web development, computational thinking, and technology integration in education.

The July 16 and 17 sessions covered General Education (GenEd) and Professional Education (ProfEd) under the guidance of Ms. Belle Bacea. Participants reviewed topics in language, mathematics, science, social sciences, educational theories, child and adolescent development, curriculum planning, assessment, and the legal and ethical responsibilities of teachers. Review exercises and practice tests were also conducted to reinforce their understanding of the subject areas.

The review program formed part of USTP Balubal’s efforts to support its BTLED graduates in preparing for the BLEPT and pursuing professional licensure in education.
