The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Claveria, Misamis Oriental (USTP Claveria), through its Department of Food Processing and Technology (DFPT), and the Provincial Agriculture Office (PAGRO) of Misamis Oriental successfully conducted their second coordination meeting for research collaboration on June 9, 2026, at the CET Office, USTP Claveria.
The meeting followed the initial coordination session held on May 5, 2026, at the President’s Boardroom, where both institutions aligned their objectives and identified roles and responsibilities for collaborative initiatives in the agriculture and food processing sectors. The latest meeting focused on translating these plans into actionable strategies and implementation mechanisms.
Among the key discussions were the development of timelines for upcoming research activities, identification of project deliverables and corresponding tasks, allocation of resources, and establishment of coordination mechanisms to support project implementation and sustainability. Participants also discussed the documentation and technical requirements necessary for the proposed research initiatives.
The coordination meeting further strengthened the partnership between USTP Claveria and PAGRO Misamis Oriental in advancing research and innovation that support the agriculture sector. Through collaborative efforts, both institutions aim to develop practical solutions, promote technology-driven approaches, and generate knowledge that will benefit local communities, farmers, and other agricultural stakeholders in the province.
The initiative reflects USTP’s continuing commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that advance research, innovation, and community development while contributing to the sustainable growth of the agriculture and food processing sectors.
