USTP Claveria SAHM President joins 2nd Northern Mindanao Student Leaders’ Congress

The Student Association of Hospitality Management (SAHM) of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Claveria, Misamis Oriental (USTP Claveria), participated in the 2nd Northern Mindanao Student Leaders’ Congress held on April 7–8, 2026, in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The event gathered student leaders from across Region X for leadership development, collaboration, and innovation.
Representing the organization was SAHM President Bobbylyn Christy Jane B. Galario, who actively engaged in discussions, workshops, and collaborative activities alongside fellow youth leaders. The congress focused on strengthening competencies in student governance, enhancing community engagement, and promoting global citizenship among participants.
Anchored on the theme “Drawing New Maps of Hope,” the two-day event emphasized the value of adaptive and responsive leadership in addressing evolving challenges faced by academic institutions and communities. It also served as a platform for exchanging ideas, building networks, and exploring innovative approaches to student leadership.
Galario highlighted the value of the experience, noting that participation in the congress broadened perspectives and reinforced the importance of purposeful leadership grounded in service and responsibility.
Through its participation, SAHM reaffirmed its commitment to developing future hospitality professionals who are equipped with technical expertise and guided by strong leadership principles anchored in integrity, service, and social accountability. The organization continues to support initiatives that empower students to become transformative leaders capable of contributing meaningfully to their communities.
