USTP Jasaan ESM conducts PLC Training

The Energy Systems and Management (ESM) Department of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental (USTP Jasaan) conducted a Basic Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Training on April 24, 2024, held at the Audio-Visual Room (AVR), USTP Jasaan.

 

The training was organized to equip the students with the skills and knowledge needed to handle basic service and maintenance tasks using PLCs. It was attended by the Bachelor of Science in Energy System and Management (BSESM) senior students and was led by a respected industry expert, Mr. Randel Pacaña.

 

Through practical workshops and hands-on demonstrations, Mr. Pacaña guided the trainees in understanding the workings and functions of PLCs, emphasizing their direct relevance and significance in modern industrial processes. He also provided participants with invaluable insights into the practical applications of PLC technology.


The ESM Department, in its unwavering commitment to bridging academia and industry, ensures its students are skilled and ready to explore the sector. The event enriched the students’ knowledge and underscored the university’s approach to connecting the standards of academia and industry.
