USTP Panaon, DepED ALS ink MOA for 5-year Computer Literacy Training

To commence the extension project on Computer Literacy Training with Alternative Learning System (ALS) for the Panaon District, the University of Science and Technology in Panaon, Misamis Occidental, through its Department of Information Technology’s Extension Office, sealed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Education (Alternative Learning System) Panaon District on April 20, 2022, at the USTP Panaon Training Center.

The MOA marked the start of a five-year program that would educate students on essential Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Net Operation skills.

Dr. Leny Q. Añasco, Acting Campus Director of USTP Panaon, and Mr. Rey G. Salcedo, ALS District In-charge, spearheaded the signing of the agreement.

Also present during the event were ALS District Coordinator, Ms. Melodina E. Marcojos;  ALS Mobile Teachers, Ms. Ailyn May B. Simpas and Ms. Garneth A. Laurete; and USTP Panaon Extension Coordinator and faculty members.

A total of forty (40) ALS students will benefit from the program. Faculty from the Department of Information Technology will handle the given modules.
