ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) Panaon Campus is presently located at Purok 6, Brgy. Punta, Municipality of Panaon,Misamis Occidental. USTP Panaon was then known as Imelda R. Marcos College of Fisheries and Home Industries (IRMCFHI) where it serves as the centre for fisheries and home industries in Northern Mindanao.
IRMCFHI was then converted to Don Mariano Marcos Memorial Polytechnic State College (DMMMPSC) by virtue of the Presidential Decree (PD) No.1431 last June 10.1978. DMMMPSC Panaon offers Bachelor of Science in Fisheries.
Republic Act No. 7102 renamed DMMMPSC to Mindanao Polytechnic State College (MPSC) with the addition of the third function of the college – extension services – in the original mission. MPSC Panaon Campus offers Bachelor of Science in Fisheries, Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology, Bachelor of Science in Physical Science Teaching and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Teaching. MPSC is in consortium with Bukidnon State College (BSC) to offer Bachelor of Elementary Education.
At present, USTP-Panaon Campus offer Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Technology and Livelihood Education and Bachelor of Technology Livelihood Education major in Home Economics and major in Industrial Arts.
