The Week of Welcome is mainly for FRESHMEN, TRANSFEREES, and SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. Considering the health protocols we are still strictly following to this day, it is best to prioritize our new Trailblazers as they get to know their new home.
USTP-CDO students who are not freshmen, transferees, or senior high school, CAN ENTER THE SCHOOL on August 30 to September 1, 2022, as long as they wear their student IDs, bring their Higala QR Codes and vaccination cards, and follow proper dress coding. HOWEVER, they will not be able to enter the DRER Memorial Hall and other event venues to prioritize our WOW participants.
Before you may enter the event venue, you must go through the registration team, which will be stationed at the gym lobby. The filled out and printed PDS is not necessarily a requirement to enter, but you will still have to submit it to the registration team. They will be accepting your PDS during the registration on Day 1 and Day 3.
YES. Even if you have not received an email, as long as you have registered on the link: bit.ly/wow2022reg, your name is on the list of those to be catered to and you will be admitted to the event venue.
YES. This year’s Week of Welcome is the first-ever hybrid WOW, composed of face-to-face activities for those who can go and attend at USTP. However, for those who cannot be physically there, worry not, for the events will also be streamed live via Facebook at the official FB page of USTP Week of Welcome.
If you are not vaccinated yet you wish to participate in the F2F activities, you must present a negative RT-PCR result 24 hours prior to the event, for you to enter the university.
The campus tour will be on the 2nd day of WOW, August 31, 2022. The facilitators will cater to everyone who registered, so rest assured that you will be added to the GCs before the actual campus tours commence.
Classes will start on September 2, 2022.
For this academic year, we will be adapting to the hybrid-learning setup, wherein synchronous classes and face-to-face classes (especially laboratory courses) will be utilized alternately. Your respective college departments will be the ones to release further details regarding this matter, so keep updated!
